Release: No Light Left Introducing Snowfight In The City Centre who release their limited edition 7” single No Light Left through High Voltage Sounds, distributed by Cargo, on 3rd July ‘No Light Left’ is a beautifully crafted track that hooks you in from the first hit of a cymbal, the rolling percussion and bass, simple but endearing guitar parts build into the powerful and hooky chorus. Backed with the epic sounding ‘My Saving Grace’, this is a pair of tunes that introduce the band perfectly. Based in Manchester they are Adam Jennings (lead vocals), Andy Jennings (drums, no relation!), Rick Boardman (Keys, vocals and percussion), Matt Cocksedge (lead guitar), James Cook (acoustic guitar, keys and vocals) and Lewis O’Brien (bass). With the core of the band having been together six years, it was the addition of James and Andy and their input into the song-writing that has given the band their distinct sound. Snowfight In The City Centre stamped their authority on the Manchester music scene with an impressive collection of tunes that stunned everyone who heard them. In contrast to the rock music of other Manchester bands such as Nine Black Alps and The Longcut , Snowfight In The City Centre are a polished and charismatic band that specialise in finely-tuned pop music from the heart. As a result of their honest material, requests to hear the band have been impressive but not surprising.
