Release: 24 Passes / House of Flies Following August’s excellent Micro/I Am The Storm single, Leicester-based redcarsgofaster follow with the full-blooded stomp of 24 Passes/House of Flies, released through High Voltage Sounds on 6 th November. Comprising of James (vocals), David (guitar), Matt (guitar), Andrew (bass), Phil (drums) and Megan (keyboards), redcarsgofaster formed in the summer of 2004. They recently stormed the main stage of their hometown Summer Sundae festival, and are currently in the studio recording a new EP with acclaimed producer Alan Smyth (Long Blondes, 65daysofstatic). 24 Passes is four minutes of energised rock-disco - led by layers of brittle guitar parts, pulsing bass and sharp drum patterns, topped off by the stalking vocals of singer James. House of Flies is its slower, melodic partner; reverb-soaked guitars dominate before the track’s bass-driven, pulse-raising finale. A follow up to debut single Sanctuary/Without Measure, Micro/I Am The Storm received consistent radio plays from 6 Music’s Marc Riley, John Kennedy from XFM and Radio 1’s Steve Lamacq. Add the bands aggressive and highly admired live performances (as recent shows with Shut Your Eyes and You'll Burst Into Flames will attest) and redcarsgofaster remain a band on the brink of greatness. “Epic, gorgeous and powerful...post-rock with tunes” God Is In The TV Unlocking the musical cabinet of the embryonic years of 4AD, redcarsgofaster catch the futuristic pre-gothic swagger of the days when pop and gloom made capable bedfellows” Manchester Music redcarsgofaster tour the following venues this autumn: Sept 21st Metro, London (On stage 9.15pm) For more information on this release please contact the relevant person;
