Born out of the success of the High Voltage fanzine
and live music nights, High Voltage Sounds is the newest Manchester
independent label.
Having provided upcoming Manchester bands with another stage to
ply their trade since Feb 2003, High Voltage has a vast knowledge
of the unsigned scene in the city which has gone from a stale and
tepid state, to one of the most vibrant scene's in the whole country.
The success of bands like Nine Black Alps and The Longcut is concurrent
with the rise of the club nights, whilst the fanzine carries out
interviews with all the best bands on the local scene.
With some exciting plans for 2005, High Voltage will continue to provide
expertly A & R'd events, as well as picking the cream of the band's
we come across for release through High Voltage Sounds. |
